This
is to let you know that Woodward English will be spending a more time sharing
our English learning resources at TSU (pronounced “Sue”), a new social network.Here will be your TSU Link Yes, this is
yet another social network that has popped up, at a time when you don’t need
any more of them. But why have we paid attention to this one in particular?
Well TSU is going to share part of their advertising revenue with you.
If
you create popular things (that get viewed, shared and liked) then you earn
from that content. Normally Facebook and Twitter and other social media sites
earn millions off your posts or tweets and you receive absolutely nothing (and
not to mention what they do with all of your personal data). According to their
promo info, TSU only keeps 10% of the advertising revenue while the rest (90%)
is distributed among the people that post and share the content. That sounds
fair!
There
is no way of knowing whether this will be the next big social network though
people are already taking note of it (it has appeared on Fox Business and many
famous people have started to join). Of course if you can get US$7 million from
investors before you even launch then they must be doing something right.
What
I have seen in the few days I have been a member is that there has been a rush
of teachers and educators joining, but of course the site is not just limited
to them. Niche groups are starting to form.
And
just so you know…This site launched on October 14th (2014) so NOW is the time
to join. There are still many great usernames available! Join, even if it is
just to save your username before the network becomes bigger. You don’t need to
